How the game will be realized
Hello friends of good flavour!
Today we discussed which software, etc. we need to realize the game. It is not necessary to use a graphic engine, because the game will be realized in Flash.
So the following things are needed:
Graphics and Sound:
Adobe Flash for creating the website and the animations
Adobe Illustrator to create the vector-graphics
Adobe PhotoShop for creating Non-Vector-Graphics
Adobe Audition or Ableton Live for creating the sound
Webpage:
Domainserver with unlimited data-transfer for example world4you Domainserver Plus
MySQL Database (openSource)
PHP (openSource)
Online-Shop-System (osCommerce - openSource)
Mailserver with unlimited data-transfer
24 hour support from the Domain hoster
Webpage Backup-Service
Registration of:
www.alpengames.at and
www.alpengams.at
... to be continued

The cookery book
The time has come, we are working on our cookery book!
Today we discussed the format of our game design document. After a long and detailed brainstorming session, we found the perfect idea for our folder. The format of the folder should be a little smaller than A4, landscape format and it has to look rustic. The document will be printed on normal paper and will get a spiral binding. The folder with the spiral binding should be fitted between to wooden boards, which are screwed together by hinges. On the front side the name and the logo of the game will be burned in. The graphical design of the folder should also follow the main design of the game. When the folder is ready, you can find all recipes with the perfect ingredients in this comprehensive cookery book. So please be patient, we are still mixing.

Help, Game-Control, Scores and other side dishes...
Help
The main character of the game is the chamois, which guides you through the game. If you have problems within the game or questions you always can ask the chamois. The chamois always appears on the main-screen. If you open the main-screen the chamois tells you the most important news and the weather of your country. From time to time, the chamois will tell you a joke. When you click on the chamois a speech bubble appears beside the head of the main character. In this bubble there is a list of FAQs and an input field. Here you can type your question or a single word into and the chamois will show you possible answers. If you click on an answer, the character will read the answer and at the same time the answer is shown in the speech bubble.
Game-Control
To control the game you need a keyboard and a mouse. The keyboard is only used for registrations and to ask questions, whereas the mouse is used as the maincontroler for the games.
Scores
Each minigame has its own highscore. The player can see his own score on a sheet of paper which is attached on every wooden-minigame-signboard. By clicking on this paper, the paper turns around and you can see the Top-5-Players of this game. You can also find a total score for all games and for each game a separate score that are hidden behind an edelweiss bush. If you click on this bush, a list of this highscores appears. You can switch between the highscores by clicking on the minigame-name on the right side of the list.
Reached points are counted in edelweiss. This edelweiss could be encashed in the onlineshop. This shop is highscore dependet. The higher the amount of edelweiss, the more interesting or valuable merchandising products can be purchased. The high score remains unchanged after a purchase, however the purchased product will be disabled for a second buying.
After passing a minigame, a splashscreen appears. On this splashscreen you can see the chamois which is climbing up a mountain. At the bottom of mountain the player will see his old score and on the "top", he will see his new one. As there is no maximum highscore, you won't see the top of the mountain. After this animation the window will close automatically and the player returns to the mainscreen.
